EARTH! A great place to be and a great place to take care of!
This past week we continued to study about the many ways our earth changes. We were very excited to hear that there was recently a volcano in iceland. We were able to view it on a website on-line and we got to get a bird's eye view of what it looked like as it erupted! The really awesome part was that it was right near a glacier! We saw some really magnificent pictures of an active volcano. This week we are going to wrap up our unit on Earth's changes and move onto how we can better take care of our earth. We will be participating in lots of earth friendly activities and we will be creating our very own project with "junk" from Celebration Cinemas! We could win movie tickets! Also we will be participating in a podcast sponsored by The Magic School Bus on April 20th. Stayed tuned for more exciting activities!

Oh what a trick it was today to see snow on the ground, especially on the first day of Spring! I kept telling the students that it still may snow in March, but they didn't believe me. We had a great talk about seasons. I surely hope everyone is reading reading reading and while waiting for this nasty weather to blow away!
